A Follow and a Hop Friday (3)

Hi peeps! It's been a crazy fun week since I've been participating in Armchair BEA, but I couldn't resist  another Follow and Hop Friday (let's ignore that this is posted Thurs night)! The goal of FF and Blogger Hop is to discover new blogs and friends. Welcome :).

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View!

This week's FF question comes from Louise at Book Bliss:

Q.  How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them.

A. I usually read or listen to 2 to 4 books a week, depending on what's going on that week. I'm usually reading a library book or an ebook (kindle or ePub on my laptop) and listening to a book at the same time. It's rare that I'll be in the middle of too physical/ebooks at the same time though.

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer @ Crazy for Books.

This week's Hop question came from Britta at I Like These Books:

    Q.  What book-to-movie adaptation have you most liked? Which have you disliked?
    A.
The first question is easy... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows! I thought it was fantastic! Granted, I watched the movie long after I read the book - on purpose. I learned my lesson by re-reading Prisoner of Azkaban right before the movie released and I was so angry through the entire movie and compared it to the book. I didn't enjoy it because I was preoccupied with picking it apart. I think the book-to-movie adaptation I disliked the most would be Twilight... I know it had a limited film budget but it just didn't live up to the book. At all. Though I still bought it and after watching it 3 or 4 times I like it now?! It seems to get better the more you watch it.

Happy Hop and Follow Friday! I look forward to meeting new peeps!

I'm amazed you can manage to read for any length of time on your laptop. I can read short stories on my PC, but that's about it. My eyes get tired, plus it's a bit difficult to curl up with my computer. ;)

I actually didn't mind the Twilight movie - there were a few castings that I would have changed because they didn't match the image of a character I had in my head. But apart from that I was pretty happy. I haven't read Prisoner of Azkaban yet, but I did enjoy Part 1.

    Have a great weekend!

I learned my lesson with the Twilight series...I watch Twilight and then read the book. The movie is what got me into the series. I was so irritated that they had left so much out!! Have a good weekend and stop by my blog hellota-ta.blogspot.com

OMG I just lost comments again... 5 on this post from Instant Debate, the Blogger comment system took over. WTF! Thanks Shelagh and hello tata for your comments though I DO appreciate them and will get back to you. I'm so frustrated with comment systems though :(.

Yeah, Twilight was pretty bad. I liked that fact that it was brought to life, but I really hated how Catherine Hardwicke interpreted the book.

I loved Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 too. It was great and I'm so looking forward to the second one. Azkaban killed me because it butchered the book! Even without having read the book right before, I still hated it!

The latest Harry Potter was my least favorite, but I loved the third one. Yeah, there were a lot of changes, but I thought they made it a better movie. And I didn't like Twilight either. The books seemed romantic, but the movie highlighted how creepy the whole thing was.

    Bella: What are you doing?
    Edward: Watching you.
    Bella: How long? (nevermind why)
    Edward: a couple of months.
Bella: This is a little creepy.
Edward: It's cool, I'm a vampire. I sparkle in the sun.

I'm so glad you said that, because I do that all the time too! I listen to a book on CD, and read a different book. I've had so many people tell me that's absolutely crazy and they couldn't handle it, but what can I say? If it gets me through my TBR faster, than I am all for it! So glad to know that I am not the only one.

I have a Kindle and LOVE it. However a lot of egalleys and books from the Overdrive library download can't be read on the Kindle so I read them on my laptop. I'm actually searching craigslist right now for a Nook so I don't have to use my laptop anymore (which isn't too bad, it's pretty light). I get my audiobooks from my local library, they have a FANTASTIC selection... I'm really lucky. Check out your library!

@Madigan, I LOVE audiobooks! I'm usually always listening to a book. Thankfully my library has been great at keeping a good selection :).
