So... the most exciting thing to arrive in my mailbox was not a book exactly... it was the next generation Nook. It arrived yesterday (Saturday)! I pre-ordered and wasn't expecting to get it, or for it to be shipped until June 10th (when supposedly they became available). My hubby and I were outside washing the cars when the mail lady came by and said she had a package for me :). I wanted to hug her!
OK, so books... I SCORED at the library this week! I'm thrilled to have these books, I may have to completely rework my review schedule around these. I'm purposely stocking up on audiobooks for my father-daughter boat trip vaca later this month, since I don't always do well with reading on airplanes and small-ish boats. And... it IS Audiobook Month you know! It's going to be hard waiting to listen to Where She Went and Across the Universe.
I have to admit, I feel like a traitor to my Kindle 3. However, the jury is still out on which device I prefer to read on. I think the Nook is pretty, and I love that I have my own screen saver of family pictures on it... and that I can read DRM protected ePubs on it... but I still heart my Kindle. I think I can say I like the page turning buttons on the Kindle better, but of course you can swipe to turn pages on the Nook's touch screen. *sigh* I feel so conflicted.
