Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's WoW feature is:
Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles
To be released: August 16, 2011
Luis Fuentes is a good boy who doesn't live with the angst that his big brothers, Alex and Carlos, have always lived with. Luis is smart, funny, and has big dreams of becoming an astronaut. But when he falls for the wrong girl, Luis enters a dark world he's never known, and just when he thinks he's got life all figured out, learns some disturbing news about his family that destroys his positive outlook on life. Will that Fuentes bad boy streak come out with a vengeance and lure Luis to live on the edge like his new girlfriend and his own father.
Continuing all the steamy romance of the first two books, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Simone Elkeles gives fans one more satisfying taste of the irresistible Fuentes boys. (Goodreads)
Chain Reaction is a companion novel to Perfect Chemistry (link goes to my review). I am so so excited for this book, mainly because 1) this book is about a "good" boy with a "bad" girl (unlike the other 2 books), and 2) I love that Luis has dreams to become an astronaut! I have always wanted to be an astronaut (since I went to Space Camp when I was 8), and I think I will be able to relate to Luis in that way.
So... what book are you waiting for?
