For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life. (Goodreads)

I was gripped from the first couple of pages, and that is so rare for me... I did not want to put this book down! I can't believe I didn't read this sooner... I'm not sure why I was so hesitant to pick this up. I'm not usually excited about books about angels... I can't pin point why exactly, I guess they just don't do it for me. Until NOW! I enjoyed every minute of this book.

Hush, Hush is well written with great pacing and characterization. I really liked Nora, and Patch is just yummy! Their characters immediately drew me in and I was hooked. I have to say that I wanted to smack Vee (Nora's BFF) at times, she drove me nuts. I may have a little crush on Patch. Let's see... he's hot, a bad boy, mysterious, and cocky. What's not to love? The plot was great as well, but Nora and Patch made the book for me. Here's some quotes that give you an idea of what I'm talking about:
"You smell good, too,” said Patch
It’s called a shower.” I was staring straight ahead. When he didn’t answer, I turned sideways.
“Soap. Shampoo. Hot water.”
"Naked. I know the drill."
"Say 'provoking' again. Your mouth looks provocative when you do."
"I don't go out with strangers," I said.
"Good thing I do. I'll pick you up at five."
I can't wait to read the next book of the series, Crescendo, and Silence when it comes out this fall! Oh, and I LOVE all the covers, I think they're gorgeous...
Crescendo (Hush, Hush)Silence
I'm definitely a fan of this series!
